 Maria Yuryevna Sharapova (born April 19, 1987) is a Russian professional tennis player of Belarusian descent and a former World No. 1. As of November 19, 2007, she is the fifth-ranked female player in the world. At the end of 2006, she was the world's highest-paid female athlete.
Sharapova has won two Grand Slam singles titles. In 2004, she beat Serena Williams to take the Wimbledon title at the age of 17. Two years later, she defeated Justine Henin in the final of the 2006 U.S. Open. She also reached the final at the 2007 Australian Open. |

 Danica Patrick (born March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin) is an American auto racing driver competing in the IndyCar Series. She was raised in Roscoe, Illinois. Patrick was named the Rookie of the Year for both the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and the 2005 IndyCar Series season. In May 2006, she published her autobiography, Danica: Crossing the Line. With her win in the 2008 Indy Japan 300, Patrick became the first woman to win an Indy car race.

 Marlies Schild (born 31 May 1981 in Admont) is an Austrian alpine skier.
At the beginning of her career, her preference was in the downhill. However, by the age of 19 she had already undergone 5 knee surgeries, prompting her to concentrate instead on the less dangerous slalom and giant slalom competitions. At the Alpine World Ski Championships 2003 in St. Moritz she placed second in the slalom behind Janica Kostelić, and at the same competition in 2005 she won a bronze medal in the combination, behind Janica Kostelić and Anja Pärson. |

 Benjamin Raich (born 28 February 1978 in Arzl im Pitztal, Tyrol) is an Austrian alpine skier who won gold medals in the giant slalom and slalom at the 2006 Winter Olympics of Turin, Italy.
After having won Junior World Championships in both slalom and giant slalom, Raich made his debut in the Alpine Skiing World Cup in 1998, obtaining immediately a tenth place. The following year he scored his first victory, in slalom. |
